Hi-Lo Diner Engagement Session / Erin + Will
Erin and Will met thanks to Erin’s brother. Will showed up at her front door one day to hang out with him, but Erin mistook him for someone else. She let him into her house, and later discovered that to her, Will was a complete stranger whom she had invited into her home. She thought he was cute, and they have been together for over two years. They came to the cities from Iowa this past winter for the Hi-Lo Diner engagement session in South East Minneapolis.
Will wasn’t feeling particularly well the day of their engagement session but still made the drive out to the cities. We met at the Hi-Lo Diner where Erin and Will shared a chocolate milkshake topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. Ice cream can cure just about anything, so it was the perfect treat to start their session.
They wanted a view of the river, so we headed to Mississippi Gorge Park. It had just snowed about a foot a few days before, so they put on their snow boots and made a trail through the woods. It had just warmed up, so some of the snow had turned to ice.
We took our time sliding down the most scenic rock that overlooked the river gorge. Erin and Will put on a blanket to stay warm, and we slowly made our way back through the woods and up to the park.
The great thing about doing a winter engagement session in Minneapolis is no one is around. Erin and Will had the entire park to themselves, which made snuggling each other in much easier.
They are nature lovers at heart and will be getting married on the North Shore at BlueFin Bay this weekend.
Are you debating about a winter engagement session? Here’s another one of my favorites from winter of 2019.
