Three Podcasts that will Change the Way you Think about your Brand

Three Brand Podcasts

Is it just me or do podcasts make life on the road so much better? I travel a lot for sessions in the summer, and podcasts make the long drives feel so much quicker. I rotate heavily through true crime, paranormal, and comedy, but love to put on a good business podcast now and again, especially if I’m feeling uninspired or unmotivated. Here are three great business podcasts that will change the way you think about your brand message and how your market yourself.

1. Building a Story Brand by Donald Miller I was gifted Donald Miller’s Story Brand book thanks to a course I took on personal brand photography. The book is phenomenal, and if you are a solopreneur who wants to grow your audience, go buy it now! The podcast focuses on story telling marketing, which according to Donald Miller, is the best way make your business sucessfu. He walks through the foundations of storytelling marketing other entrepreneurs about their experience with it. If you only have time for one episode, check out Season 1, Ep 2! Science Mike talks about how our brains love to see into the future, and one of the best tools to keep them present is story telling.

2. Personal Brand Journey by Jamie Swanson – Jamie has been a mentor of mine for years. I went through her course on wedding photography many years ago, and this past year went through her brand photography course. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her in person, and she is silly, fun, and so real. Her podcast talks about her journey on growing a personal brand. What I love about her podcast is she doesn’t hold anything back. She shares her mistakes, her challenges, her struggles, and also weaves her truly unique self into it. It’s easy to follow, and so helpful for those who want to scale their business by growing their personal brand. If you only have time for one episode, check out episode 47!

3. Community Made by Jayson Gaignard – I tuned into this podcast last year thanks to Jamie’s podcast, listed above. Jayson shares his story of going broke then making it big as a master connector. He hosts dinner parties where he brings amazing people together, and now makes a living doing that. He interviews tons of incredible entrepreneurs about different topics depending on the season. My favorite season is the first one, which helps talk you through how to connect with the heavy hitters in the entrepreneurial world. If you only have time for one episode, check out season 1, episode 5. He interviews Jordan Guernsey, a successful entrepreneur who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. It brought me to tears, and made me realize how lucky I am to be healthy.

These podcasts are great if you are struggling to clarify your brand and how to market your business. They have helped me think about who I’m looking to reach and how to reach them. Even better, all of these are fairly new, so there will be more seasons full of knowledge to come. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
