St. Thomas Engagement Session / Kiersten + Jack
Kiersten and Jack met in their freshman English class at the University of St. Thomas in 2015. They officially connected when Jack asked Kiersten to proofread his English paper. At the bottom of his paper, Jack left a special note that asked her to be his girlfriend. They celebrated with Izzy’s ice cream and spent the rest of their college days together watching movies, enjoying local breweries and long walks along the Mississippi River. We stuck true to their story by heading to the St. Thomas campus for their engagement session, then down to the Mississippi for sunset.
Since it was summertime, the St. Thomas campus was quiet. Kiersten and Jack had it all to themselves. It was my first time in the courtyard area, so they showed me some of their favorite spots that they enjoyed in between classes.
As the sun started to set, we made our way down to the Mississippi River. The spot we were headed to was a bit of a hike, and sadly, the rain had left the trail muddy and damp. Kiersten and Jack were great sports and sacrificed their clean shoes for some great sunset shots.
Jack proposed to Kiersten on their four-year anniversary down by the river. Although we were at a different spot, it was a great way to commemorate their love story.
They will be married this weekend in Waconia, Minnesota, with a church ceremony, followed by a reception in Chaska. Their families and friends are beyond excited to share this moment with them!
If you want to make your engagement session more special, it’s great to pick locations that hold true to your love story! Here’s another couple that did just that. They started their session at their favorite bar in St. Paul where they pregame for Minnesota Wild Games – https://angeladivinephotography.com/engagement-photos-for-minnesota-wild-fans-jamie-giles/
