Mighty Mama Wellness is a Chaska, Minnesota-based health and well-being community for mothers and mothers-to-be. Owner Cynthia believes that when women make decisions aligned to their values, their families and communities bloom and grow. For her MN wellness brand photography session, we made sure to capture Cynthia’s fun, vibrant personality in addition to how she helps her clients through one-on-one coaching and yoga.

Having experienced family trauma in her own life, Cynthia found healing through yoga, writing, and mindfulness practice. Her personal journey of forgiveness and healing led to a desire to share what she’d learned with others. Cynthia set aside her plans to become a medical doctor and began to pursue her Master’s degree in Integrative Health & Wellbeing Coaching instead.

Cynthia was not always on a journey to motherhood. As a child, the model of motherhood she saw was one of martyrdom and sacrifice. It seemed to her that a woman’s dreams and selfhood had to be put on hold once she had children. But when Cynthia met the love of her life and their partnership grew, suddenly she could imagine starting a family. Cynthia began to envision a different way of mothering that would allow her to remain true to herself while simultaneously nurturing a child.

Mighty Mama Wellness was born from Cynthia’s passion for helping others and her personal desire to start preparing for motherhood. She started Mighty Mama Wellness for moms and moms-to-be who felt stuck or trapped and didn’t have a village to lean on. Her supportive community is a safe haven for women to envision how being a mother can look different from the status quo.

Through Mighty Mama Wellness, Cynthia’s goal is to help women cultivate a legacy of self-trust, self-compassion, and self-love. She believes that empowering women to live from their authenticity and truth will help to heal the next generation.
