Minnesota Brand Photography for Marketing Consultant / Jen Fieldman
Last year, I had the pleasure of meeting the incredible Jen Fieldman. After many years in the marketing world, Jen left her corporate job to start her own business and help others. Jen created JF Strategy for women entrepreneurs who are ready to take their marketing to the next level through content strategy. She needed brand photography not only to launch her website, but her Instagram and Facebook platforms.
Since Jen is an expert in content strategy, she had some solid ideas about the types of photos she wanted. She left the corporate world and wanted more than anything to be her own boss. She loves being able to work from home and keep her trusty office manager (pup Gracie) by her side. So we designed this session around her working in her favorite spaces around her home.
We started the shoot on her shared condo’s rooftop deck. Gracie loves the fresh air, and Jen loves the view (who wouldn’t?). The two hung out on the rooftop. Jen even tried to get some work done.
After Gracie’s photo debut, we headed indoors where Jen takes most of her client calls. She uses these photos in her social feed with text and graphics to promote posts and offerings on social media.
Kelly of Witt and Company designed her brand around bold, strong colors like blue, teal, and purple. Jen popped those colors into her photos with outfits that were in her brand colors. Jen’s brand is also strong, but clean and easy to understand. We chose spaces that had solid colors in the background so it wouldn’t distract the viewer from the message and she could add text.
Two of Jen’s friends joined us later for a strategy session in the board room. Jen loves helping others come up with a plan for their marketing, especially when it comes to social media. Her client knows they need to have an online presence by creating content, but they don’t know where to start. They would rather spend their time creating content they know is effective so they can get back to working on their business/in their zone of expertise.
Jen’s philosophy comes from the core of your brand. She will suggest how often you should post, but what types of content to post. She walked her friends through some strategies for their social media accounts and explained the importance of trying out these strategies and then revisiting them to see how they performed.
A hard day’s works calls for some champagne to celebrate, so Jen busted out the bubbly. She wants every client she works with to feel confident in what they are posting and why they are posting it. Once the strategy is in place and starts working, there is nothing left to do but toast to the future.
