Minneapolis Brand Photography for Website Designer / Lucid & Luxe Web Design Studio
Leanne of Lucid & Luxe Web Design Studio and I connected online. She moved to the Minneapolis area not too long ago and builds beautiful websites… she did mine… I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER. She needed brand photography because she didn’t want to worry about finding photos to post online for the next several months. She wanted her Instagram account to be filled with quality photos rather than the in-the-moment pictures from her phone. Since she loves working with boutiques and salons, we started at her client’s spot in South Minneapolis.
One of the things that sets Leanne’s process apart from other web design studios is that she LOVES connecting with her clients, especially in person if they are local. I can attest, she cares a lot about them and she wanted her brand photography session to show the care and heart that comes with each project.
Sammi of Head to Toe Salon invited us into her salon so they could talk about her website. They walked and talked around the salon because Leanne gets inspired by the space. Her websites invite the textures, products, colors, and vibe of the business into them.
Leanne also sketched a rough draft for Sammi on the spot. We stopped for coffee next door where Leanne walked Sammi through the process she uses to create the copy and flow. There is a lot of brand work that should go into a website, and Leanne delivers on that. She is also a Story Brand lover, so her workbook asks you how you transform your client so she can make that a part of the flow of your website.
Restaurants are another favorite type of client for Leanne, so we stopped at Sphere so she could scope out the restaurant and talk with their managers. In doing so, we were invited up to see the rest of the building the restaurant was in so she could explore the space.
We packed up and made our way to Parallel where one of her clients was having coffee. She had some work to show him on the progress of his site, so I photographed Leanne and him during their meeting.
Another client and friend met us at Parallel, before the two went off to try another restaurant, Kado No Mise. Leanne also dabbles in photography, so she brought her camera to take some photos of the food, a service she often offers with her restaurant website designs.
Leanne wanted her session to be genuine and almost show “a day in her life.” It was so great to see her interact with her clients and meet potential new ones. These images take one more thing off her plate by giving her content to post on social media so she can spend more time with her family and designing one-of-a-kind websites.
