Charthouse Lakeville Wedding Reception / Jacky + Dave
Jacky and Dave met five years ago thanks to Tinder. They wanted to celebrate their love with their friends and family across the country. After getting married privately, they invited their Minnesota family and friends to celebrate at Chart House in Lakeville for their wedding reception.
April can be dicey in Minnesota, but Jacky and Dave were blessed with a sunny, warm day. Guests arrived in late afternoon for social hour on the patio. Most of their friends and family have kids, so they hid plastic eggs filled with prizes around the backyard of the Chart House. The Easter Egg hunt kept the kids happy and busy while the adults mingled.
Everyone was brought inside for dinner. Jacky’s children gave some adorable toasts congratulating the two on making it official.
The party turned up a few notches with a dance-off on the dance floor. The kids really went at this and choreographed their moves to their favorite songs. My personal favorite was the father/daughter pair who danced together. It was beyond sweet.
The adults joined the kids on the dance floor after for a night of fun and celebration.
Jacky and Dave – I’m so happy for you both! Your personalities complement each other so well, and I know your future will be filled with happiness. Wishing you both all the best as 2019 ends and 2020 begins! Thanks for having me at the Chart House for your wedding reception!
Are you having a small wedding or reception? I love weddings of all shapes and sizes! Everyone is different, and I love working with couples who want to do something out of the box and try something different. Here’s another intimate wedding that I covered a while back. I captured their intimate ceremony, a few family photos, and some photos of Sarah and Andy outside at Nicollet Island.
