My Unpopular Opinion
Today I wanted to share a few things that I’ve been afraid to say in the online world because they are not the norm.
I’m not a fan of pop music!
Back when I was 10-16, I loved my Nsync, Brittney Spears, and Puff Daddy (yes, he was Puff Daddy back then) but after I was introduced to bands with instruments like the Grateful Dead, I think pop music kinda sucks.
I’m so sick of people saying FRIYAY and SLAY anything.
Others that I can add to the list; boss babe and Rose all day. All these things just feel so basic to me.
I could care less about American’s Got Talent, The Voice, and The Bachelor.
I watched some really bad TVAnd my time with D shows really get me. Feel like they are so fake and staged.Sometimes I feel like they’re almost brainwashing people and are the epiphany of why people hate America.
My initial instinct is to say “I’m sorry if you disagree with me,” but we can all like whatever we want and stand for what we believe. Just because we disagree doesn’t mean we can’t be friends either.
Maybe it’s just the way I am, but I tend to go against the grain. When something is popular I don’t want to be a part of it and when somethings trendy I usually stay away from it. I do have a lot of friends that are into pop music and swear by Beyoncé, the Bachelorette, and post photos of their Rose and then caption; Rose all Day, and I try to have respect for them. But it’s just not my jam and I think that’s okay.
I think it’s important for us to talk things we don’t like. It creates connection, empathy, and sometimes inspires others to be real. If you are on my level, drop me a comment wherever you found this post.
I sure personal blog post every week in hopes that we can connect. Here’s my last personal blog post about networking.
