The Cottage Farmhouse Wedding / Kayla + Jacob

Kayla and Jacob met at band camp. They knew of each other, but were formally introduced through family friends and took it as a sign that they were meant to meet. Their Cottage Farmhouse wedding took place last October, and you better believe they got the whole band back together.

Jacob and his friends played bags while Kayla and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done in the bridal cottage. The vibe was chill but you could tell that both Kayla and Jacob were very excited to see each other. Jacob put on his bowtie and rubber ducky socks then waited for Kayla in the corn crib (yes, that’s the thing and it’s awesome).

Kayla came out shortly after with her mom curing her long train. She walked up to Jacob, tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around. Both her eyes filled with happy tears then they went in for a big hug. They soaked it all in for as long as they could before we met the rest of their wedding party in the back by the bridal cottage. They had a blue velvet vintage couch brought outside which made for some great photo opportunities.

They decided to keep their ceremony indoors because even though the sun was shining, October can be quite chilly in Minnesota. Kayla’s mom walked her down the aisle with the biggest smile on her face.

After the ceremony, everyone gathered outside for beverages lawn games. Once the sun set, guests made their way inside for the reception. The Cottage Farmhouse provided heaters and blankets to keep everyone warm during dinner. Both families made toasts, and once everyone had their fill of cupcakes, Kayla and Jacob took the dance floor. It didn’t take long for the barn to heat up once their friends and families to joined them.

Kayla and Jacob- You both really love each other and are seriously meant to be. I’m so glad that you brought you the entire band back together for your wedding day, and sang us the theme song. I love that I can call you both friends and Zelda and I are pumped for our dog park date coming up.
