Summit Manor Wedding / Annie + Josh
Annie and Josh met for their first date at Nina’s Coffee house in St. Paul. They talked about their mutual love of biking, running, and all things outdoors, and couldn’t help but want to do these activities together. They are both laid back and wanted to keep their wedding day intimate and relaxed, so they invited their closest family and friend’s to St. Paul for their Summit Manor wedding.
At first, it looked like it was going to rain, but the storm shifted south. Summit Manor has an indoor and outdoor space for ceremonies, and when the weather started to look up, Annie and Josh couldn’t have been more thrilled. Annie dressed upstairs with her mom and a few close friends. Josh arrived at Summit Manor suited up and eagerly awaited his bride to be on the staircase. Annie made her way down the dark wooden banister and greeted Josh in front of the big cathedral like windows. Josh turned around and his jaw dropped.
After soaking each other in for a moment, we made our way around Summit Manor for photos. They have an old historic bar in the basement as well as beautiful stone arch ways outside. Their immediate families joined us for photos and then everyone tucked away inside as guests arrived for the ceremony.
Everyone took their seats on the lawn as family members made their way down the aisle. Annie was accompanied by her father who earlier was wearing a “Father of the Bride” embroidered baseball cap, it was real neat. Josh’s sister read from, “A Lovely Love Story” which is a magical book about two dinosaurs falling in love. It was adorable and one of the greatest things I’ve ever heard, especially at a wedding.
The ceremony was followed by social hour and dinner, inside and outside of Summit Manor. Guests were able to relax, pull up a chair, and enjoy each other. It had turned into a perfect summer evening, and as the sun went down, guests made their way onto the dance floor to dance the night away.
