Nina’s Cafe and East River Parkway Engagement Session / Annie + Josh /

Annie and Josh had their first official date at Nina’s Coffe Cafe in St. Paul, Minnesota.  They hit it off instantly and share a mutual love for the outdoor activities like running, biking, and swimming.  We stayed true to their love story and started their engagement session at Nina’s Coffee Cafe, then headed to the East River Parkway with their adorable greyhound, Buster for a long fall walk.

Nina’s is truly a one of a kind coffee house.  I love the checkered floors and book painted walls.  When I arrived, Annie and Josh were already there, enjoying a cup of joe.  It was a gorgeous Sunday afternoon, so after a few photos indoors, we went outside to enjoy some fall sunshine.  After they wrapped up their coffee, we headed to the East River Parkway to finish their session with someone very important to the both of them- their greyhound Buster.

Buster is one of those dogs who comes right up to you with a smile.  His gentle personality make you just want to hold him in tight.  We took the long trail down to the river, but our path was cut short by the small lake that had formed due to the river flooding.  The week before, it had rained almost everyday, but it was no matter, there were plenty of paths for us to explore.  Buster happily walked with Josh and Annie, stopping to pose whenever he needed.  Annie brought a very special treat for him- something that they both love, especially in the fall- candy corn!  I had never seen a dog eat candy corn before, it was seriously adorable and heartwarming to know that Annie and Buster share a mutual love for this snack!

I’ll be sharing more from their wedding day on my blog here next year!  They are having an early summer wedding that sounds as relaxed and down to earth as they are.  So glad I was able to connect with not only Annie and Josh, but their sweet greyhound Buster!
