St. Paul Engagement Session / Jamie + Conner

Jamie and Conner met at a Minneapolis bar in 2013.  Conner accidentally spilled his cider beer on her, and that was all it took to get the conversation rolling.  They are truly meant to be since they were born on the same day, same year, and in the same hospital.  They enjoy seeing live music, spending time outdoors, and both work in the health care industry.  Conner proposed this past Christmas Eve when they were on a weekend trip and Duluth but wanted wanted to stick to their roots in St. Paul for their engagement session.

We started their engagement session at Conner’s aunt’s place – Bon Vie Bistro & A Piece of Cake where she let us take over and admire all the cupcakes.  Conner worked there on and off growing up so starting here seemed natural.  After splitting a cupcake, we packed up and made our way to Hidden Falls Park for the second half of their St. Paul engagement session.

The snow was high at Hidden Falls Park, but it was a warm day so everything had started to melt.  The parking lot was flooded, so we tried to tip toe around the puddles.  Conner successfully dropped his shoe into one before we even started, so he was a trooper making it through the rest of their engagement session with a wet foot.  He wasn’t alone, all of us got snow in our shoes at one point.

The park was surpisngly busy.  It was St. Patrick’s Day so many people gathered to picnic, especially grandmas with wine.  Jamie and Conner made their way past the crowds and hiked up to the fall which looked beautiful covered in snow.

It was so fun getting to know Jamie and Conner- their personalities are meant for each other!  I’ll be posting more of them on their wedding day here on the blog, so check back this fall for more of these two amazing humans.
