St. Paul Brewing Wedding: Charlotte and Chase

Charlotte and Chase met during a semester abroad in The Hague, Netherlands in 2010, but they didn’t start dating until two years later. Charlotte was living in DC at the time, so they dated long-distance for a couple of years before she moved to the Twin Cities.

Now they live in St. Paul’s East Side with their dog, Maggie, and cat, Mouse. They both love live music, vintage/thrift stores, visiting local coffee shops, and long, meandering drives.

They wanted their wedding day to reflect their love of St. Paul and the East Side, which is why they chose Saint Paul Brewing for their wedding venue.

Instead of starting at the venue, Charlotte and Chase did their first look on Kellog Boulevard overlooking the Mississippi River. Tears of joy were shed as the two embraced with the anticipation of their ceremony and marriage.

We stopped at one of their favorite record stores, Caydence Records and Coffee, on the way to St. Paul Brewing for some photos. The place was popping with people enjoying not only coffee but looking through records. Chase and Charlotte pulled out a few 90s favorites like Blink 182 for some natural smiles and laughter.

Chase also grabbed a few tree branches on our way out from the street to add to the wedding arch. To say he was resourceful is an understatement!

Their sweet pup, Maggie, met us at the venue for a few photos and also participated in the ceremony. The venue’s patio had plenty of space for their guests to sit for the ceremony and then move around during the social hour.

Instead of a formal dinner, food stations were also outside. Guests could have pizza, carved meats, cheeses, tacos, and more. The vibe may have been casual, but the food was upscale and delicious.

As the sun set, Charlotte and Chase shared their first dance and then danced with their parents. Their guests hung out both inside and out on the patio through the evening.
