Alex and Nat met in school. Most of their friends would go home for long weekends, but they usually stayed back on campus and were left to get to know each other.

Fast-forward to 2023, these two have come together to launch Dahlia, a creative pastry and cake pop-up brand that serves up sweet, savory, and spicy treats in the Twin Cities.

Their years in the service industry led to them opting for a mid-morning ceremony in their NE Minneapolis backyard with just immediate family, a few close friends, and, of course, their pup, Remington. Alex even baked fresh scones and breakfast treats.

Alex and Nat savored a bottle of champagne right after their “I Do’s” as a symbol of celebration.

More of their friends and loved ones gathered at Ambiente Gallery for a taco buffet by Nixta (it was beyond delicious) and more handmade desserts from Alex.

Alex and Nat – it was an honor to photograph the intimate moments of your ceremony and the excitement of your reception. I’m so proud of you both for also starting your business! My allergy to dairy may prevent me from eating your pastries, but I will buy all of Nat’s hot sauce to flavor up my meals! I wish you all (Remington too) the best in life and business!
