Rogers Minnesota Wedding Photography / Alyssa + Ben

Alyssa and Ben have been friends since childhood. Their families knew each other, and held similar values of faith and life. They started dating when Alyssa was 16, and fell for each other hard! Their wedding day in Rogers, Minnesota brought their loved ones together for a traditional ceremony followed by a relaxed reception with a taco bar and dancing.

It was peak fall colors on their October wedding day. The sun hit the leaves and it made the woods surrounding their venue glow.

Alyssa’s group helped her into her dress and put on the final details before she met eyes with Ben. Since they have known each other for what feels like forever, they fit together so well.

Ben’s eyes welled up with a few tears when he saw Alyssa for the first time that day, and after a hug and a moment of embrace, their family joined them for photos.

They have a huge family that all gets along. They gathered outdoors to celebrate the bride and groom as they smiled for photos before bringing everyone inside for the ceremony.

Hope Community Church in Rogers had plenty of room for everyone to gather. Alyssa and Ben greeted each other down the aisle. Their parents gave toasts and advice as they gave them away.

Alyssa and Ben braided their lives together with a rope ceremony, and then washed each other’s feet – something I had never seen before.

After it was official, they marched back down the aisle as husband and wife and snuck outside one last time before the party started.

A family friend was known for their taco bars and set one up for the wedding reception. It was beyond delicious. In between bites of guacamole-stuffed shells, Alyssa and Ben’s family toasted to the bride and groom. Once everyone’s belly was full, their friend took over as DJ and invited everyone onto the dance floor.

Alyssa and Ben – your Rogers wedding was truly your own. It was beautiful to see your families come together and weave your traditions into each piece of your day. You two are meant to be, and I’m so happy for your new addition to your family. Sending you love, light, and all the great things as you move past your first year of marriage.
