Semple Mansion Wedding / Marissa + Kyle
Marissa and Kyle met in their high school cafeteria. They fell for each other and remained together as they moved on to college and their careers. These high school sweethearts gathered their friends and family for a Semple Mansion wedding this past winter. Everyone was so excited to see this relationship stand the test of time.
Since the couple lives out of state, their wonderful families helped plan their Semple Mansion wedding day and were involved in many of the details. They wanted everything to feel relaxed but still have traditional touches.
The afternoon started on a chill note with Marissa and her side of the wedding party in the upstairs lounge. Marissa was excited to feel dolled up in her dress, but wanted to find comfort, so she bedazzled a pair of wedding day crocks to slip into after the ceremony.
Kyle’s and Marissa’s eyes met on the Semple Mansion’s staircase for the first time. They said it reminded them of prom in a way to see each other all dressed up, but way more exciting.
The sun went down right before the ceremony. Their guests were welcomed in by family playing piano and violin. The ceremony was done by a family member as well. It was short, sweet yet emotional as happy tears and laughter echoed through the room.
After the ceremony, Marissa and Kyle snuck upstairs for a few moments alone. They booked a micro wedding package, which meant I was there for only 4 hours. I left them after they cut their cake to enjoy their guests and carry on with their night.
Marissa and Kyle – your energies are contagious! You both are bright, fun, and so are your families! It was a pleasure being a part of your day. I wish you all lived closer. Wishing you hugs as you round the corner on your first year of marriage!
