NE Minneapolis Backyard Engagement Session / Alex + Nat
Alexandra and Nathaniel met in school. Most of their friends would go home for long weekends, but they usually stayed back on campus and were left to get to know each other. They both are chefs; Nathanial cooks savory dishes and makes THE BEST HOT SAUCE EVER. Alex is a pastry chef and works with all things sweet.
They wanted their sweet pup, Remington, to make an appearance in their photos, so we met in their NE Minneapolis backyard for their engagement session.
Alexandra lit a fire and set out some chairs so she and Nathaniel could relax. They opened a bottle of their favorite champagne to kick off their engagement session because bubbles always make things easier.
After a few sips, Remington joined the party. He’s a shy, loving dog that loves to cuddle. He snuggled in Alexandra’s and Nathaniel’s laps for a few photos, then we moved to Nicollet Island for the last bit of sunset.
We started at the parking lot and slowly made our way to the bridge. Both Alexandra and Nathaniel love architecture.
Both of them are relaxed, fun loving, but also have a passion for the arts. Their original wedding date was delayed thanks to the tire fire that was 2020. But they were able to reschedule exactly a year later!
Very excited to be in their backyard for the ceremony, then Ambiente Gallerie for their reception! Stay tuned for more of this lovely couple!
Love the idea of having your engagement session or wedding in your backyard? It’s become very popular with couples over the past year. If your yard isn’t sizable to host your event, I’ve also seen them have weddings or sessions on family land or at a family cabin. Katie and Ethan used Katie’s parents’ home, which sat on a lake, for the wedding day – https://angeladivinephotography.com/stillwater-minnesota-backyard-wedding/
