Minnehaha Falls Engagement Photography / Emily and Tom

Emily and Tom met in their college hometown. Two of their friends were dating, so they introduced them knowing they would hit it off. They brought their adorable husky, Malfoy (Yes to Harry Potter fans), to their fall engagement session at Minnehaha Falls. Their MEC Grand wedding day is fast approaching this weekend, so it only felt fitting to share some of the images from their Minnehaha Falls engagement photography session!

There are some days in October in Minnesota when fall feels like summer. The day of Emily and Tom’s engagement session was not one of those days. It was cold, windy, and looked like rain. The one benefit of this weather is that it keeps the public away, so we went down to the waterfall for some photos.

Usually, you wait your turn to take your photo by the waterfall, but we had the area all to ourselves. After some photos by the waterfall and river, we made our way back up the stairs to the garden where the fall colors were in full bloom.

Emily’s parents were kindly watching their pup, Malfoy, until we finished the first half of their engagement session. Once Emily and Tom changed, we grabbed their sweet husky for some photos around the park.

It must have been Malfoy because by the end of the session it was still windy, but we had a few moments of sunshine before wrapping up!

We are very excited to see Emily, Tom, and their families this weekend at MEC Grand for their wedding day! Many more images to come!
