Client: Tracy Moore

Tracy Moore is a first responder turned author who needed brand photos to help promote her new novel. She served as a Minneapolis firefighter and captain for over twenty years. After completing her Master’s degree in Public Affairs, Tracy started interviewing her female firefighting coworkers. Using their stories as well as her own experience as a firefighter, she created four fictional characters. Tracy’s novel, The Fire She Fights, was published in 2021.

She was compelled to write her book to combat the stereotype that women aren’t strong enough to be firefighters. Tracy believes that women are not only strong enough to fight fires, but also that they have the compassion necessary for the job. Through her stories, Tracy hopes to show young boys and girls alike that women belong in this male-dominated field. She also wants to help the fire service recognize that compassion is just as important in the industry as knowing how to fight fires.

Tracy’s website features her blog, free downloadable coloring pages, and many accolades for her riveting book. There’s also an online shop featuring The Fire She Fights and merchandise such as shirts, bottle openers, and stickers.

For Tracy’s branding session, we took headshots and photos to help promote her novel on her website and social media accounts. We also got some great shots of her wearing her firefighter’s uniform.
