Minneapolis Lifestyle Maternity Session / Elaine + Rishi

Elaine and Rishi were expecting their first child this past winter. They recently moved to the Minneapolis area and settled into a cozy apartment in Edina with their two sweet pups. They also love how close their home is to Centennial Lakes Park, so I came to their home for their Minneapolis lifestyle maternity session.

Lifestyle photography is laid back and genuine, and Elaine and Rishi both have those qualities. They met me at the door and welcomed me into their warm, inviting home. We started in the living room with their pups on the couch on either side of them and then moved to the bedroom where they all love to snuggle.

One of their favorite things to do is to walk around Centennial Lakes Park, so we threw on our jackets and headed outside. It was their first winter back in Minnesota. The sky was blue and the sun made it feel warmer than it probably was. We strolled through a few of their favorite snow-covered paths, stopping for photos along the way.

I asked them if they were nervous about being parents. They smiled and gazed at each other for a moment in excitement. They told me they were like all soon-to-be parents. A little nervous, but overall just wanted to meet the little one. Elaine shared that her sister was also pregnant, so there would be more than one new mom in the family.

Elaine and Rishi welcomed their boy baby into the world this past January. They are thrilled to be new parents and are soaking up every moment together as a family they can.
