Medina Country Club Wedding / Lisa + Ethan
Lisa and Ethan met in Des Moines, Iowa while attending Drake University. Ethan knew from the beginning that their relationship was something special, in fact, his best man showed their guests during his toast a text from Ethan after one of their dates saying, “She’s the one.” Lisa and Ethan love being spending time on the Minnesota lakes jet skiing, boating, and fishing.
Ethan and his groomsmen waited for Lisa and her bridesmaids at St. Barnabas Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Once everyone was there, Lisa went out back for their first look. For those unfamiliar with a “first look,” it is the moment where the couple sees each other for the first time on their wedding day, sometimes after spending the evening apart. Ethan’s eyes lit up when he saw Lisa for the first time, and you can’t blame him. She looked absolutely incredible in her lace mermaid dress with an open back. Ethan didn’t look half bad either in his black suite and bowtie. After soaking in each other’s beauty, their families joined them out back for some hellos and family photos.
About a half hour before the ceremony, the couple and their wedding party hid away on the opposite side of the church while guests filed into the chapel for the ceremony. Lisa was walked down the aisle by her father before joining Ethan’s hands at the alter. After songs and readings, Lisa and Ethan lit the unity candle and shared their first kiss and husband and wife.
They greeted their guests outside the church where the wind picked up and almost took off Lisa’s vial. It made for a great photo which is posted below. After all the hugs and handshakes, they boarded a bus with their wedding party to enjoy a toast and a ride to the Medina Golf and Country Club for their wedding reception.
It had started to drizzle on the way to the Medina Golf and Country Club, but the radar showed it was already on it’s way out. When the wedding party arrived, they took a second to touch up then huddled under a tree while the last raindrops came through. The sun started to push through the dark clouds making the light smooth and even on everyone’s face, the weather couldn’t have been any better.
The bridal party rejoined the cocktail hour and soon it was time for dinner. Lisa’s twin sister, Sarah, shared a toast along with Ethan’s best man who told the story of when Ethan knew Lisa was “the one.” The happy couple cut one of their cheesecakes from Muddy Paws before breaking in the dance floor with a slow dance. Ethan and his mother danced after, followed by Lisa and her dad. The Delta Gamma girls took over after for a special sorority dance followed by a family favorite- Bruce Springsteen’s “Tenth Avenue Feeze Out.” Our time with this couple ended at the dance floor where the festivities continued into the night.
Lisa and Ethan- We are so grateful to have been apart of your wedding day! We can’t thank you both enough for being so kind and enthusiastic! You two are meant to be, and it shows in both of your smiles. We wish you all the happiness the world can bring your marriage, thanks for having us!
