James J Hill Wedding / St. Paul Photographer / Britt + Paul

Britt and Paul met years ago when Paul’s cousin happened to go to grad school with Britt’s roommate. They connected and settled down together in Chicago. They love to travel, explore, and experience new things.

Their big families and friends drew them back to St. Paul, Minnesota for their James J Hill wedding.

While Paul ran a 5k to start his wedding day, Britt and her friends hung out at her parents’ home. Britt and her bridesmaids hung out on her childhood bed and relived the great times that went down in there.

Once Britt was ready, she met her dad downstairs. Both of them teared up, hugged, and held each other tight. Their home is conveniently located across the street from Como Park Lutheran Church where their ceremony was happening.

Paul and his family were ready at the church. Britt and Paul locked eyes for the first time down the aisle. Their ceremony was sweet and also filled with happy guests that cheered for their first married kiss.

The wedding party boarded a trolley that took us to Mears Park for some photos. We wound around St. Paul for a joyride, then landed at James J Hill for the wedding reception.

Before greeting their guests, Britt and Paul went for a wintery walk through Rice Park, which was done up in lights.

Their grand entrance flowed right into their first dance. After a bow, they made their way to their table for dinner.

Their reception was filled with all things love and laughter. A whiskey pour hit the table before the toast went down. Stories were shared by the wedding party and families before the crew hit the dance floor.

Britt and Paul – Your James J Hill wedding day was so fun! I still wear my BRAUL sunglasses from the trolley – thank you for those! They are durable! Anyways – you both are amazing, so were your families and friends, and it was an absolute blast being a part of your day! Wishing you both nothing but the best!
