Highland Park Family Session / Kimberly, Tom + Clara
Kimberly and I met thanks to a session I did with the team of Sue McLean & Associates. During our session, she said it had been a while since her family had done any pictures, and she would love to have some photos taken around their home in Highland Park, St. Paul.
Since it was a beautiful October fall day, I met them outside their lovely home. We took a walk down Cleveland Avenue and stopped at every red tree we came across. Clara played in the leaf piles, encouraging Kimberly and Tom to join in the fun.
Our walk led us down a few quiet side streets with beautiful light. We made the most of them until a car would pass by, but eventually, we headed back to their home where we took a few more photos outside. Before I left their home, Clara showed me her pink princess room where she likes to read books with her mom. It was adorable.
What I love about this session is that Kimberly and Tom wanted to keep everything true to reality. Clara has filled their lives with joy and helps them stay playful. They wanted to show more than just them smiling at the camera, but the in-between moments that show how much fun they all have together. I truly believe their photos show just that, and you can feel the love in each frame.
I only take on a handful of family photo sessions each year. It’s not because I don’t love families, that is just all I can handle. I love working with those who want their session infused with happy emotions and laughter. If you are wanting to know more about the process or my pricing, please reach out to me using this link.
