Centennial Lakes Park Engagement Session / Heidi + Chris

Heidi and Chris met at work during lunch.   Heidi over heard Chris and his lunch mates wrongfully comparing types of Mac and Cheese from the next table and she couldn’t hold her tongue.   She introduced herself and kindly shared contributed her knowledge on all things Mac and Cheese, specifically Easy Mac.  After lunch, they went their separate ways, but this conversation didn’t leave Heidi’s mind.  She did some research sent Chris a message later through G-chat to prove her point.  This Mac and Cheese conversation was the first of many, and almost a year ago from today, Chris asked Heidi to marry him.  Their Centennial Lakes Park engagement session happened this past fall, and it was so much fun getting to know these two better.

There’s just something about the way they fit together that shows they are meant to be.  It was a beautiful fall evening at Centennial Lakes Park in Edina, and since it was a weeknight, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves.  This park is huge, but the great thing about an engagement session on a fall night during sunset- it’s great for a long walk.  We started at Pinstripes then made our way through the loop on the walking path.

Chris was able to wrap his long arms around Heidi and make her smile and laugh.  They were open to anything including laying in the grass to huddling between the tall flowering blades of feather reeds.  Half way through, they changed into more formal outfits, but Heidi was still open to exploring in her high heels- that’s my kind of girl.

What makes them even more amazing is that they love everything from Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings to hiking for waterfalls views in Wisconsin and the North Shore.  I’m elated to have crossed paths with these two, stay tuned for some magic from their wedding this summer!
