BlueFin Bay Wedding / Erin + Will
Erin and Will met thanks to Erin’s brother. Will showed up at her front door one day to hang out with him, but Erin mistook him for someone else. She let him into her house, and later discovered that to her, Will was a complete stranger whom she had invited into her home. She thought he was cute, and they have been together ever since. They were married last summer at Bluefin Bay who hosted their wedding on the rocks of North Shore.
For two people who have never been to the North Shore, Erin and Will hit the weather jackpot. The day started with sun and breeze as they prepped for their first look. The forecast later in the day called for rain, so they both moved things along so they could start the ceremony earlier than expected. They had invited family and a few close friends, and with everyone being from out of town, that made changing the schedule day-of easy.
Erin and Will locked eyes for the first time as bride and groom in front of Lake Superior. After a moment together, they gathered their groups and we made our way to Tofte Park for some photos.
They climbed the rocks in full wedding gear out to a point on the lake. Their wedding party was just as brave and were happy to hang out in the sun with the water crashing on the rocks.
When we returned, their family was seated for the ceremony. Erin’s father gave Will her hand and his approval. They had both of their parents put a lock around their family tree to symbolize the families’ support. Erin and Will put a lock on it last to make their marriage official.
Their reception was at the other part of the resort. The rain moved in at the perfect time, and everyone gathered inside for dinner. At the end of dinner, a rainbow appeared over the lake in a display of real wedding day magic.
The rainbow was absorbed by the clouds, and as the sun went down, their guests gathered on the dance floor.
Erin and Will – it was an honor and a pleasure working with you all! I’m so glad you all decided to have your wedding in Minnesota; it was truly magical. You two are perfect for each other.
Thanks again for inviting me into your love story.
