Minneapolis Winter Engagement Session at Lake Nokomis and the Stone Arch Bridge / Lisa and Eric
Lisa and Eric met on an ultimate frisbee team! They bonded over their mutual love of hiking and dogs. They brought their sweet pup, Beetle, along for their Minneapolis winter engagement session at Lake Nokomis and the Stone Arch Bridge.
It had just snowed, so the ground and trees were freshly coated in white. It was chilly, so Lisa and Eric brought coats for themselves, but also a nice warm jacket and booties for Beetle.
Lake Nokomis is where Lisa and Eric first played ultimate frisbee together, so we found a shoveled path to walk Beetle and, of course, toss a frisbee.
After some photos at the lake, we headed to the Stone Arch Bridge for some photos that showcased the Minneapolis skyline.
The Stone Arch Bridge is also a bike path, so it’s much easier to take photos on the bridge during the off-season months. Lisa and Eric walked Beetle down to the center of the bridge for some photos as a family but also handed Beetle off to Eric’s brother to take a few alone.
The lights began to turn on as we walked back from the middle of the bridge to the warmth of our cars. It looks like it will be a bit warmer this weekend for their wedding at Pique Travel! But it does look like snow, something they are familiar with, thanks to their engagement session.
Beetle will make an appearance for some photos on their wedding day as well! We will have fun no matter the weather, so stay tuned for more images of Lisa, Eric, and Beetle.
Minneapolis winter engagement sessions are beautiful, especially after fresh snow! The key is to bundle up in layers, wear great boots, and have an extra pair of shoes to change into.
