Round Barn Farm Wedding / Erin + Ben
Round Barn Farm Wedding Photography for Erin and Ben
Erin and Ben met in college. He thought she was beautiful and mysterious. She thought he was compassionate and open. It took 22 years for their love story to lead to marriage at the Round Barn Farm wedding. And despite the times, their friends and family were able to gather (safely) to celebrate.
Round Barn Farm is an adorable wedding venue tucked in the bluffs of southern Minnesota. Besides hosting weddings, it’s also a Bed and Breakfast and has accommodations for guests to stay.
Erin, Ben, and their families made full use of the space the weekend of their Minnesota wedding. As they dressed and prepped in separate areas, their families and friends connected over lunch and yard games.
They wanted their first look to have a magical feel, so we went into the woods near the ceremony space. Erin was newly pregnant and expecting, but you could barely tell with her flowing dress. When Ben saw her in all of her bridal glory, his jaw dropped and they held each other tight.
Their ceremony backdrop was rolling bluffs. Ben’s son joined them down the aisle since Erin and Ben’s ceremony meant they were forever bonded not only to each other but as a family.
Guests carefully greeted Erin and Ben in the open-aired reception space. The newly married couple sat side by side at a sweetheart table and were toasted by their loving families.
Instead of cake, they opted for some delicious pies! They cut one together for tradition, and of course, so they could eat it, while their guests had mini individual pies to choose from!
Dancing took place in the Round Barn! Erin and Ben danced on the first floor between dangling string lights while their guests watched from above. Everyone united on the first floor to dance and sip cocktails shortly after.
Before our night ended, we left the venue and went a short car ride to a dark area at the end of a road. Erin and Ben wanted one last dramatic shot, so we lit a few smoke bombs for a stunning effect that felt straight out of a movie.
Erin and Ben – you both are lovely humans! Your wedding was so special to who you both are, and it was an honor being able to capture it! Thank you for having us!
