Artist Anjee Mai reached out to me for some updated head shots for her website. She works out of the Northrup King building where she teaches others to sculpt earth clay and polymer clay. Her colorful pieces are funky and whimsical. Besides making her own art, she teaches classes to corporate groups, girl scout troops, kids, and anyone who wishes to have fun with clay. She teaches her participants to make fun monsters like dinosaurs, marshmallow people, lizards, and anything their minds can dream up in hopes they can make friends with their own inner monsters. Over the years, she has taught hundreds of classes that have inspired play and laughter, and she needed some updated head shots that reflected this feel of her brand. Her brand colors are deep blues and purples, so she picked out several outfits that had not only those colors, but pops of green. Instead of only smiling, we put the fun into her photos. Anjee was down to move, jump, play with her hair, and twirl. Although she didn't bring any of her creations, now the viewer can tell how much fun they are going to have in one of her classes by simply looking at her website. A quality head shot should convey emotion, and Anjee's do just that. If you are wanting to update your website photos, employer photo, or social media profile pictures, reach out to me so you can stop by my studio this Friday!
