Sanctuary Cap Cana Wedding / Amber + Joe
Amber and Joe met on Match.com. They talked on the phone for hours at a time, and a few weeks later, they finally met face to face. Needless to say when they did, their connection was strong and they immediately knew they had something special. They were joined by fifty of their closest friends and family members for their Sanctuary Cap Cana Wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The weekend before the wedding, most of the states got a lot of snow. In the Midwest specifically, two full days of blizzards. Needless to say, everyone was extremely excited to ditch their snow boots for sandals.
Their wedding day was the hottest of all the days during their week in Punta Cana. Amber and her ladies kept cool in the honeymoon Castle suite while Joe and his groomsmen dressed and sipped beers in Joe’s Mom’s bungalow.
Once Amber was ready Joe made his way back up to the castle suite for their first look. They chose so see each other for their first time on their balcony surrounded by blue sky, turquoise waters, and palm trees dancing in the wind.
At four o’clock, their guests found their chairs at the ceremony site overlooking the ocean. Amber’s aisle was made of silk flowers and was so fancy that many people were afraid to step on it. Joe walked his mom down the aisle and stood upfront as the wedding party came down. Amber was walked down by her father, Blue, who was spotted earlier at the pool rocking the most excellent sun hat- it was bedazzled with red rhinestones which spelled “Beach Babe.”
Amber and Joe’s vows brought the house down with laughter and tears. Amber shared about how Joe always can cheer her up when she is feeling sad by playing, “Shake it off,” by T. Swift. Joe talked about how much he has loved Amber, especially her silly dance and the way she calls his name from afar. They exchanged rings, kissed, and grabbed a glass of champaign after their walk down the aisle.
Guests made their way up to the Ocean Bar for dinner, drinks, and dessert. A few toasts were shared before the happy couple made their way to the dance floor for their first dance. The rest of the group joined in after the couple danced with their parents.
Amber and Joe – Wow, just wow! What a wonderful vacation this was! It was one of the best times in my life and I am so grateful to have been apart of this family and friend reunion. Everything was perfect, Tom and I are so so happy for you both! Come visit us in Minnesota, can’t wait until we cross paths again!
