Oak Ridge Conference Center Wedding

Heidi and Chris met at work during lunch.  Heidi overheard Chris and his friends debating about the types of Mac and Cheese, specifically Eazy Mac, and Heidi couldn’t help but jump in and set them right.  This conversation was the first of many.  They discovered a mutual love for all things Lord of the Rings (they have a cat named Gandolf) as well as tacos.  Their dearest friends and family members gathered in Chaska this past June at the Oak Ridge Hotel and Conference Center for their wedding.

The day started in separate rooms.  Chris and his side of the wedding party relaxed and sipped brews while Heidi and her side finished getting ready in a room on the other end of the hotel.  They met eyes for the first time outside by the gardens and needless to say, Chris was blown away by Heidi’s beauty.  She looked like an elegant princess with her hair tied back in an elegant bun and her dress that was decorated with sparkles on the bodice.  Heidi’s bouquet was filled with Lillies, his favorite flower.

They took a walk down the stairs to the lake which made a stunning background for photos.  It was a very humid day, so they headed back inside to cool down before going back out with their wedding party for more photos.  Right as we finished, it started to rain, which reaffirmed the couple’s decision to move the ceremony inside.

Their guests made their way to their seats and shortly after, the family and wedding party walked down the aisle.  Heidi’s father gave her away with a smile and happiness.  The couple exchanged vows, rings, and shared a long kiss before returning down the aisle officially husband and wife.

While their guests enjoyed the cocktail hour, the family gathered for photos by the fireplace.  The reception was held downstairs on long tables with shimmering candles and purple and white flowers.  Toasts were made by fathers and friends, and soon enough, the couple hit the dance floor and partied the night away.

Heidi and Chris- it has been absolute pleasure getting to know you both.  You two have the kindest hearts and I have so enjoyed our Maya taco date- can we go again soon, please?  Wishing you both nothing but happiness as you grow your lives further together!
