North East Minneapolis Portrait Session / Wade + Felber Fam

A few years ago, I photographed Shelby and Alex’s wedding in January. Both of their families were incredibly kind, inviting, and so fun to be around.

Shelby’s sister, Kylie, reached out to me last year about photographing their family again. They joined me at my studio in North East Minneapolis for their portrait session, and it was wonderful getting to see them all.

Kylie and her husband Joe have two adorable girls, Saylor and London. They are two blondies with big blue eyes and smiles that will melt your heart. At the time of Shelby’s wedding, it was just Saylor, but after having London and moving to Minnesota, Kylie said they were overdue for a family portrait session.

They were the first to arrive, and we spent some time doing photos of just the girls, then added in Kylie and Wade. An hour later, the rest of their family arrived. The room lit up with energy as we photographed pieces of the family as well as the entire group.

It was cold and slightly rainy, but at the end of the session, we stepped out back from the studio. I’m fortunate to have Sheridan Memorial Park and the river right outside, so we took one more photo with the fall colors in the background before wrapping up.

The Wades and Felbers are straight up good people. I love photographing weddings and meeting family members, especially those who want to have me capture their family as it grows. Crossing my fingers and toes for more opportunities to work with this family.
