Nicollet Island Pavilion Family Session – Maddi + Wyatt
Maddi and Wyatt are two adorable little ones I’ve had the pleasure of photographing year after year. Their parents, Diana and Jessie, are friends of mine from high school. Seeing their happy family grow each year is always a treat. This past fall, Diana reached out to me about doing a session for the kids and wanted the backdrop to be a bridge. After some searching, we chose Nicollet Island Pavilion for their family session.
If you can’t tell, Maddi and Wyatt are twins! They have lots of energy and are beyond sweet. We started their session in the leaves because all kids want to do in the fall is throw leaves. They played for a while in front of the water and then were ready to explore some of the bridges around the area.
We started with the smallest bridge that connects Nicollet Island Pavillion to the city. Maddi and Wyatt loved watching the cars drive down but also the sun shining off the water. The next bridge we checked out was the Hennepin Avenue Bridge. The kids sat under the bridge and loved hearing the sounds of the traffic move above.
Maddi and Wyatt are turning four this September, and I’m excited to work with them again. This age is so special when it comes to kids. They are funny, bright, and willing to be a bit silly when it comes to photos. Diana and Jessie want to remember these moments because they go by so quick. These images will mark their three-year-old selves and how they used to love playing in the leaves and walking down bridges.
Aren’t they adorable? It’s been so fun seeing Maddi and Wyatt grow up. Here is their nine-month session if you want to see more of these silly twins!
