Minnesota Landscape Arboretum Engagement Session / Joanna + Ryan
Joanna and Ryan swiped right on Tinder five years ago. Joanna has a cockapoo (Saebra) and after a year of dating, they moved in together and adopted another dog, a rescue mutt who’s part Husky and Border Collie (Nova). Ryan works for Delta Air Lines, which allows them to travel, leading them to Aruba where they were engaged. We met at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum late last fall for their engagement session.
The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum has light installations every winter. Joanna and Ryan love the area, so we met at the main building and walked through the back gardens. We took the three-mile loop via our cars and popped out when the scenery felt right.
Since dogs aren’t allowed at the Arboretum, Ryan’s kind father met us with their pups Saebra and Nova at a nearby park for some official family photos. Their dogs were not only adorable but very friendly. We were able to coax them into hanging out for a few final pictures before they were distracted by the scenery and smells of the park.
Joanna and Ryan will be married this weekend at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater! They love the venue’s architecture, and we will be able to use the theater area before their ceremony for some iconic and unique images.
There will be many more photos of Joanna and Ryan on their wedding day, so please keep your eyes open for more from this loving couple!
The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is a breathtaking and serene place for engagement photos. If you are drawn to nature and live on that side of the twin cities, Fireman’s Park is also a scenic area for photos with lots of background options.
