Merryman’s Beach House Wedding / Moonstone Beach California / Chela + Waldo

Chela and Waldo met many years ago when Chela moved to California for college. They were friends for a very long time, but always had a special feeling about each other. They both went through some ups and downs, and when the dust settled, they were able to finally be together. They welcomed their beautiful daughter, Akomi, into the world in 2018, then made their family official at Merryman’s Beach House on their wedding day.

Moonstone Beach holds a special place in Chela’s and Waldo’s hearts. They decided to wait to see each other until down the aisle, so Chela, Akomi, and Waldo’s daughter, Summerthyme, dressed at a quiet spot in the Redwoods while Waldo and his group took it straight to the beach.

Once everyone was in position, the wedding party made their way down the aisle. Don, Chela’s dad, held her arm tightly as her eyes filled with tears when she saw Waldo for the first time.

Their ceremony was simply beautiful because they both spoke from the heart. It took the stars to align for them to end up together, and they were so grateful that the universe was on their side.

On their way back down the aisle, they scooped up Akomi and Summerthyme for their first official Boss family hug.

A Grateful Dead cover band played as guests made their way to Merryman’s Beach House for dinner and drinks. The tips from the bar went to Akomi and Summerthyme’s college funds. A joint rolling bar was on the beach for guests to explore and pick out their own flavor of bud to enjoy throughout the night.

Toasts ensued once the sun went down. It was more of an open mic, so most of Chela’s bridesmaids and Waldo’s groomsmen shared blessings for the happy couple. Don closed it off with a toast to his little girl.

Chela + Waldo – So much love to you both. Chela – I’m so glad you finally found the man of your dreams. Waldo is just perfect for you and I’m so proud of you for becoming a kick ass mom, wife, and so much more. Waldo – I can’t wait to spend more time with you. You are fantastic and the sweetest partner Chela could dream of. Can’t wait to come out and visit you all and see Akomi again!
