Loring Restaurant Wedding / Lea + Kevin
Lea and Kevin met at medical school in Maine. They met on a rafting trip where they connected over a mutual love of goat cheese. They remained friends for a while but soon realized that they had something much more compatible than a friendship. They were married this past spring at Church of Saint Thomas the Apostle followed by a reception at Loring Restaurant in Dinkytown.
Before the ceremony, Kevin waited for Lea at the Lake Harriet Bandshell. It was the perfect summer Saturday, and everyone and their mom seemed out and about. Kevin was a bit nervous, but more excited to see his bride-to-be. It felt like they had planned this day so long ago, and now it was here.
Lea arrived and waled up to Kevin for their first look. Kevin’s eyes lit up when he saw her, and the two took a moment to soak it all in. They took a stroll around the lake, which gave us an opportunity to snap some photos against Lake Harriet.
Family and friends were already gathered at the church when Lea and Kevin arrived. They were escorted into the back room while everyone else took their seats. Kevin was accompanied by his parents to the altar, and Lea was soon walked out by her father.
Their ceremony setup made for great photos since everyone sat facing each other. They were married by Lea’s uncle and priest, Jim, which made the service more personal.
After it was official, we headed to Loring Restaurant for the wedding reception. Lea and Kevin rented the entire place, so we were free to roam the different floors for some fun photos before dinner.
Siblings of the bride and groom gave toasts before Lea and Kevin hit the dance floor as husband and wife.
Lea and Kevin – your wedding day was brilliant! The weather was perfect, the decor and vibe were so genuine; you can tell that you both are so loved. So excited to relive your day as I create your albums. Thanks for having me!
