Inver Grove Heights Wedding / Nate + Emily
Emily and Nate met thanks to mutual friends. Their connection was instant, they completely fell for each other, and four years later almost to the day they met, they held each other’s hands at Church of St. Patrick and vowed to be together forever. How’s that for a love story? It was a true honor to be apart of their Inver Grove Heights wedding day.
Both their ceremony and reception took place at Church of St. Patrick in Inver Grove Heights. As Emily and her ladies dressed in the bridal room, they could hear the muffled laughter of Nate and his groomsmen through the wall into the room next door. Once everyone was ready, Emily and Nate exchanged hand written notes before getting into separate cars to meet for their first look at the Rock Island Swing Bridge.
It was cooler than the past couple November’s, but the sun was out and it made everyone feel warm. Nate waited on the bridge until Emily approached. Nate turned around to see his beautiful bride for the first time and the two held each other tight for some time.
The wind had picked up, so we moved off the bridge into the park. Their families and wedding party joined us for some photos before heading back to the church for the ceremony. After everyone tucked away, guests took their seats in the golden brown wooden pews.
Family was invited up to do some requested readings in between traditions. Emily and Nate exchanged vows, rings, and lit the unity candle. After a prayer, the happy couple shared a kiss then scooted off to a local favorite bar, B-52 Burgers and Brew to celebrate.
Most of their guests made their way into the Church of St. Patrick’s reception hall next door for appetizers and refreshments, but the wedding party along with a few close friends detoured to the bar to meet Emily and Nate. After a beer, everyone met back at the reception hall for dinner, toasts, and dancing.
Emily and Nate were able to steal the mic for a moment and tell everyone how happy they were that this day had finally come. They both had been so excited, elated, and eager for their wedding day, and it really showed. Emily and Nate- Thank you so much for having us at your wedding. One of our favorite moments was when you both were able steal the mic for a moment and tell everyone how happy they were that this day had finally come. Your words were so sweet and sincere- you can tell how truly happy you both are. We wish you nothing but the best, congratulations!
This has to be one of my favorite weddings from 2018 – here are a few more for you to check out!
