Grandview Theater Engagement Session / Sarah + Bryan

Sarah and Bryan are just about as adorable as they come.  You can tell they really love each other, and both of them have kind souls.  They wanted to keep to their home turf, so we kicked in St. Paul and ended at the Grandview Theater for their engagement session.

One of the greatest thing about St. Paul are it’s river views, so it only made sense to start with a great view of the river.  We met at a small overlook and slowly hiked down to a rock where you could see the the water sparkle in the background.  After a few photos by the water, we moved to our next location, the pond at St. Kate’s.

The University of St. Catherine looks intimidating from the outside with it’s big walls and gate, but once inside, it is so serene and lush.  Bryan loves architecture and history, so this was right up his alley.  After some photos in front of the big blue doors and cathedral, we walked down to the pond.

A small bridge takes you across the pond and to the island where there are benches to view the fountain and greenery.  The sun had started to set, and the ducks had come out for an evening swim.  It was so calm and quiet, no one there but us.

The last stop on Sarah and Bryan’s Gandview Theater engagement session was the theater itself.  They had just reopened this theater after renovations and the marquee shined so bright.  We had timed it just right and there was no one outside to get in the way of their photos.

Sarah and Bryan’s first movie date was to this theater, so we couldn’t help but go inside.  It smelled like warm popcorn and one of the attendants told us to check out the lounge room since it was straight out of the 80’s.  He was so right and we took our very last photo right in that space.

Their wedding day is fast approaching, and it’s all happening right in St. Paul.  Can’t wait to spend more time with the sweet and silly couple!

St. Paul Engagement Session / Jamie + Conner
