Enger Park Duluth Wedding / Teresa and Luke
At the last minute, the weather turned from cool to chilly. It was only about 30 degrees which meant for most of us, jacket, gloves, hat, and mittens. Luke and Teresa didn’t let the cold bother them. In fact, they rocked the cold and snuggled even tighter.
When their friends and family arrived at Enger Park, they bundled up, but joined in the “it’s not cold” spirit for photos and the ceremony. Their ceremony was held at the pavilion which overlooked Duluth’s harbor. They read their vows and exchanged rings with the beautiful water as the backdrop.
After the ceremony, the bridal party boarded a bus and headed to Vikre Distillery in downtown, Duluth. Everyone warmed up with a fancy drink then walked to the lift bridge. The sun had come out, and it finally felt like October.
Our next stop was by far the best one I have ever taken at a wedding. Luke and his groomsmen had all lived together while attending college in town. They had a tradition that at every wedding in Duluth, they would make a stop and take a photo on the lawn of their old home which had brought them the best of times.
When we arrived at their old spot, one of the groomsmen headed off track and knocked on one of the door. It was open, so everyone made their way inside and up the stairs to some very surprised college boys. It was about 3pm, so they were just chilling and happy to appease a bunch of surprise visitors in suites. They had me take a photo, and we bounced back onto the bus and to the reception at Black Woods Event Center.
The night flew by once the wedding party arrived. Dinner ended with a few toasts, and Teresa and Luke shared their first dance as a married couple. The dance floor filled up shortly after with their loved ones who wanted to celebrate two of their favorite people.
Teresa and Luke- it was an absolute pleasure hanging out with you both in Duluth! It may have been cold, but those fall colors were incredible! I had so much fun hanging out with you all! I especially loved our time on the party bus, your friends and family are gems! So happy for you both – you are truly perfect for one another!

I love traveling to the North Shore! I have one wedding booked for Tofte in 2019 and two more on the shore in 2020. Here’s my latest camping trip from the Duluth area.
