Kayla and Jesse – 10/16/17 – Engagement Silverwood Park, Minnesota
Kayla and Jesse have been together for 10 years- high school sweet hearts, right on! Their love is rock solid and stood strong through long distance but also the many changes that happen when you grow out of your teenage years into adulthood. For their engagement shoot, we returned to the place of their engagement this past June, Silverwood Park where the fall colors were just enchanting.
They recently adopted a beautiful husky named Nakita and love spending time with her outdoors. Although they don’t live near Silverwood anymore, they used to walk and or run through the park a lot on the weekends. Kayla’s favorite tree, and mine too now, had an opening in its branches that invited us to come in and take in it’s deep red leaves. The whole park popped with oranges, yellows and reds, it was fall’s final finale here, and after enjoying all of the colors, we made our way down to the lake to the dock where they were engaged for a few more pictures.
Fall is such a special time in Minneapolis for photos. The background is a once in a season opportunity, and somedays I shoot three of four sessions on a Sunday in October. What I really enjoyed about Kayla and Jesse’s session is that it didn’t feel like work at all. We literally walked, talked, told stories about our dogs, took in all of fall’s glory, but also took some beautiful pictures. It was a pleasure. Can’t wait for their wedding this summer!
Hi! Still here? Aren’t Kayla and Jesse so photogenic? I’m jealous! Here are some more fall engagement sessions if you miss those colors as much as I do!
