Elm Creek Park Reserve Wedding / Linda + David
Linda and David were set up by mutual friends. They went on a group date at a bar and met for the first time. They hit off immediately, Linda says she could tell David was everything she was looking for. He was kind, sweet, and also funny. At the end of the night, David asked Linda to dance, and the two slow held each other close on the dance floor long after the song had ended. They decided to marry in the fall, set behind the orange and red leaves for their Elm Creek Park Reserve wedding.
As guest arrived for the ceremony, Linda and her bridesmaids hung out in the back room and put the finishing touches on their hair and makeup. David and his groomsmen greeted long time friends and family, enjoying the sunshine and warm October air.
Once everyone was seated, David walked Linda’s mother down the aisle then took his place up front to lay eyes on his beautiful bride. Linda was walked down the aisle by her sister and after a quick hug with mom, she joined David’s hands at the front and the ceremony began.
It started with their song- the song that played the night they met. The song that ended, but neither of them noticed because they were still holding each other close on the dance floor. This story was shared to their guests by their officiant, and after exchanging vows and rings. Lind and David shared a kiss before walking back down the aisle as husband and wife.
Before greeting their guests, the bridal party snuck off into the park for some pictures. The biking trail was busy, so it was almost like a game of hockey- calling game on and game off between shots. Family joined for a few more photos before Lind and David finally had some private time together. After a walk around the main part of the park, they made their way into the reception where everyone greeted them with applause and hugs.
They kept it simple- good food, great company, and a live polka band for dancing. It was all about having fun, which they both told me was the whole point of them deciding to get married. They wanted nothing more but to celebrate, so they did just that, surrounded by people who love and supported them.
Linda and David- it was a true honor working with you both! From the moment we met- I could tell your love was something special- that down-to-earth, genuine, fun love that will always stay bright and inspiring. I wish you both nothing but happiness!
