Como Conservatory Wedding / Caitlin + Justin

Caitlin and Justin met at a soccer bar in Minneapolis. Their connection was instant, and they spent the next several months getting to know each other. One of their favorite date spots is the Como Conservatory, so it just seemed right to say their I Do’s among the flowers in their favorite garden. Their intimate Como Conservatory wedding took place last February, followed by a dinner-style reception at W.A. Frost.

Instead of a traditional wedding party, they chose to have their closest friends and family gather before their day started to relax, get ready, and enjoy one another’s company. Caitlin and her side met at a friend’s home in St. Paul for breakfast, hair, and makeup before they dressed. Once ready, Caitlin climbed into a car and waited for Justin to arrive at Como Conservatory.

Como Conservatory is a great spot for a wedding, but it’s also open to the public. That being said, when we arrived, the staff was closing down the gardens to prepare for the wedding. Justin waited patiently for his beautiful bride to arrive. They saw each other for the first time and held one another tight. A few tears were shed, so they went into the conservatory to warm up and touch up before a few more outdoor photos.

Family and friends arrived at Como Conservatory for the wedding ceremony shortly after. Instead of seats, they had everyone line the aisles and stand for their short but sweet ceremony.

Caitlin’s father walked her down the aisle, then gave her hand to Justin. They exchanged their vows and rings, and were officially married as the sun set. Their families stuck around for a few group photos before heading off to their reception at W.A. Frost.

They rented an intimate room at W.A. Frost where guests were welcomed in with a warm fire, hors d’oeuvres, and cocktails. Caitlin and Justin arrived and were cheered in by their guests.

Before dinner started, they had friends and family share toasts with an open-mic style. Caitlin’s sister and friend said some loving words. Justin’s cousin and mother did the same. They cut their cake before the entrées were served and shared one last kiss for the camera.

To Caitlin and Justin – Thank you for trusting me to capture your wedding day! I loved how you kept it true to you and you were not afraid to make it your own. Como Conservatory will always be a special place for you both, and it was so magical and perfect. So much love to you both, and your sweet pup! I hope we cross paths again soon- wishing you all love and happiness!
