Como Conservatory Engagement Session / Erin + Riley
Erin and Riley met because they were in the right place at the right time. After only a short conversation it felt like they had been together forever. They both love spending times outdoors, hanging out with their animals, and watching the Minnesota Wild crush at hockey. Erin works between DC and Minneapolis, so she enjoys reading as she travels but also loves to sing and does so for her Parish at home. Riley is an avid hunter and fisherman and keeps up these activities in every season, even winter. Since they love all seasons, they didn’t mind braving the cold in January for their Como Conservatory engagement session.
The great news about choosing the Como Conservatory for your engagement session, is that they allow you to spend a half hour in their warm tropical indoor space. There are several gardens in this area, all green, lush and inviting. Despite it being open to the public, Erin and Riley were able to snuggle up as if no one was watching. Erin loves how Riley always makes her laugh, and he did just that throughout their entire session.
After a half hour in the heat and humidity, Erin and Riley bundled up and headed to Como Regional Park just down the road. It was way below freezing, more like negative temperatures, but that didn’t stop them from having a good time. They dressed warm, but also brought a blanket to cuddle under. I was so impressed with their ability to look so natural and great while literally freezing.
Thankfully, it will be much warmer for their upcoming spring wedding. I’m so elated to be working with these two, their chemistry is so natural and fun, it’s going to set the scene for some magically exciting moments on their big day!

I love the Como area, especially for winter sessions! Here’s a few more from the conservatory and surrounding area.
