Behind the Board DJ Entertainment is a Minneapolis-area DJ service that specializes in wedding receptions. Owner Steve’s favorite part of DJing is the shared experience that comes with performing at events. Steve needed new photos for his website and social media accounts, so for his MN DJ brand photography session, we took photos of him doing client consults, setting up, and manning the DJ booth.

Steve has a lifelong love of music and grew up listening to all different types of genres. He learned how to DJ in college from a friend who had a gig as a club DJ. In 2004, after being a stay-at-home dad for a few months, Steve participated in a DJ training program, and he’s been bringing joy and entertainment to weddings and parties ever since.

As a DJ, Steve is very hands-on and has a great command of the room. He brings a sense of humor and a personalized touch to each event. Steve’s energy is infectious—he loves to dance while spinning in his booth, and he’ll even get onto the dance floor himself from time to time!

What sets Steve apart is the time he takes to get to know his clients and create a connection. His goal is to create a personalized experience that is true to each of his clients. When it comes to wedding receptions, Steve strives to convey the raw emotion of the wedding day to everyone in attendance. And no matter the type of event, he is determined to make sure everyone has a great time.
