Meet Rhonalda – My Alter Ego
My mastermind leader asked us to dress as our alter egos for our last session. At first, I was a bit puzzled on why, but she explained that she wanted us to feel powerful and like we could do anything. I’ve had an alter ego for about 10 years and when I dress as her, I feel like I can take on anything.
Meet Rhonalda. She loves dressing fancy, sipping bourbon, and doesn’t take crap from no one. She oozes confidence, and after working for years as a high powered executive, she does consulting on the side if you can afford her.
Rhonalda came to be when I was digging through the “sparkles” section at the Ragstock in Uptown. When I found this dress, my eyes lit up. It has shoulder pads and so much beading, it weighs 10 pounds.
The wig came second when I decided to put on this dress for the first time for Halloween. When people asked me who I was, besides dead sexy, I began to create her story.
An alter ego is meant to allow us to let go of who we are and manifest different characteristics of who we want to be. Rhonalda is strong, experienced, and believes in herself. She’s not afraid of what others think, and knows that wherever life takes her, it’s going to be spectacular.
These are qualities I want to embody. And if takes dressing up in purple beaded gown and blonde curls for me to get there, I’m all for it.
Rhonalda has shown up in many places, and I can’t wait to share more of her stories with you. Do you have an alter ego? Maybe we can get ours together one day.
If you are thinking…. this girl is kinda weird, yes, you are correct. Here’s another personal blog post you may enjoy.
