Winter St. Paul Wedding / Stephanie + Mike

Stephanie and Mike met online. They made plans for dinner, but Stephanie was a little nervous. They rescheduled for something more casual and met for a coffee. They talked for hours and lost track of time, so much so that Mike was late to work. After that, they knew it was meant to be. They had a ceremony and reception at the Lowertown Event Center this past winter in St. Paul for their wedding.

Winter weddings are rare in Minnesota. Maybe it’s the cold weather, but what I love about winter weddings is you don’t have to rely on the weather.

Luckily, Stephanie and Mike were blessed with a mild December day. They both took their time getting ready in their separate rooms at Lowertown Event Center. Once ready, Stephanie met Mike outside at Mears Park for their first look.

They took a walk around the park, and Stephanie snuggled into Mike to stay warm. Their wedding party met us outside for a few photos before heading back into the warmth before the ceremony.

Stephanie’s uncle performed the ceremony and shared some funny stories about Steph as a kid, and also that she had a nickname as a kid that made her initials the same as it now would be after marrying Mike. If that’s not a sign, I don’t know what is.

After they officially married, Stephanie and Mike snuck away from their guests and went outside to Mears Park to take a stroll under the holiday lights.

They came inside just in time to greet their guests and sit down for a lovely dinner. Both Stephanie’s and Mike’s families shared stories and toasted the bride and groom.

Stephanie and Mike – I am so glad you both met, your love is one of a kind! It was so enjoyable getting to know you both over 2018 at three different weddings. You all have an amazing group of family and friends. I wish you both the best as married life takes you all the places in the future!
