Zelda was a Great Friend
When my husband picked up Zelda from the dog sitter, she had a wonderful story to tell him. Zelda is our almost three year old Native American Indian Dog who has a gentle soul. We have been taking her to the same dog sitter for several years, and this sitter has a huge back yard for watching dogs, but also fosters them. This past weekend, our dog sitter was fostering a new dog who had been abused in her kennel for a while, which is just heartbreaking. With the other dogs coming for the weekend, it made since that our sitter was a bit nervous about how everyone would get along. She told my husband that Zelda was a great helper and friend to this new dog.
From day one, Zelda had always loved to play and meet other animals. The foster dog was very shy and too timid to join the other dogs outside and play. Zelda showed this new dog the ropes and helped her find the food dish, the water dish, and laid by her side. She was a true friend to this newbee and even got her to play a little. Our sitter was so grateful for Zelda’s help, and my husband and I are so impressed by Zedla’s love and compassion. Her friendship and actions are a great reminder to help one another out, especially in times of need. Thanks Zelda for the inspiration, you have turned out to be an incredible companion!
