Brittany and Tim – 6/25-16- Westby, Wisconsin

Brittany and Tim took the meaning of wedding to a whole new level when they planned the ultimate wedding weekend in Westby, Wisconsin.  These two crossed paths at a mutual friends house before a Trampled by Turtles show.  Brittany thought Tim was cute, and visa versa, and they started running into each other more and more.  They share a lot of common interests like seeing live music, but also love traveling to small towns, going to B&B’s, and enjoying fish drys and Manhattans.  They ventured to Westby, Wisconsin once for just this, and fell in love with the town.  It was the perfect place to host their wedding weekend.

Friday morning the festivities began.  Their guests had two options- yoga or golf.  The yoga session took place at the ceremony/reception venue in Soldier Field, Wisconsin at a beautiful private home.  After the hour long class, Brittany and her guests chatted over lunch as well as set up for the reception.  The boys went golfing at River Edge, and when I arrived, they were on their last 5 holes.  I never understood why people golf, I’m horrible at it, but these boys showed me the light.  Driving golf carts, walking on soft grass, enjoying cocktails- I think there is something to this golfing thing.  Friday ended with an epic Fish Fry at the Old Oak Inn- the cutest, quirkiest little B&B ever!  I want to back here because the food was incredible, and I loved the decor and the kindness from the owners.

Saturday was wedding day!  The bridal party started with some sunrise yoga in the valley of the wedding venue.  The groomsmen stayed back at the lodge and hung out at the breakfast bar until Tim started getting ready.  I was able to enjoy the ceremony as a guest while the incredible photographers from Twig and Olive captured these special moments and even a butterfly release.  After a short rest, everyone gathered back at the lodge to head out to a dance party hosted by the Bride and Groom at Leo and Leona’s bar.  This place is hidden gem!  I arrived before the guests to get a good glimpse, but also say hello to some amazing musicians.  This Must Be the Band played at my wedding about a year and a half ago, so I was thrilled to see them again.  They are not only incredible at playing Talking Heads covers, but Charlie, the lead guitarist, was able to throw in some prince and other songs for their guests.  Everyone loved the band, the $2 shots, and the pizza/cookies.
Sunday everyone was up early to have some breakfast, but also say goodbye.  The bride and groom rocked the cutest matching T-shirts ever as they hugged their loved ones.  This wedding weekend blew everyone away.  Every detail was so well planned and Brittany and Tim have the most lovely friends and family.  Thank you so much for letting me capture this epic weekend!  It was such a pleasure!!!!
