Tina and Alex – 8/28/15 – Lowertown Event Center in St. Paul, MN
What an awesome wedding day! Two ceremonies, two cultures, two families, two people who love each other. Tina and Alex met seven years ago and became close friends. Two years later, they started dating and bonded over their love for music, cute animals, and family. Most of Tina’s family hails from Vietnam- so it was perfect to start their wedding day with a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony. The women gathered in the house, preparing egg rolls, rice and meat skewers. The men waited patiently for their invitation inside- bearing gifts of fruit and jewelry. Once the gifts were exchanged, tea was poured, and Tina and Alex offered a bow to seal their families coming together. The food was incredible, the company was warm and inviting, and after a savory lunch, the men and women separated again to prepare for the second ceremony. The second ceremony was at the classy Lowertown Event Center. It’s vintage charm matched Tina’s dress perfectly. Their vows were short and sweet and afterwards everyone indulged with craft cocktails and the best doughnuts ever. Both ceremonies reflected their cultures but also their passion to merge their families. It was a very special day and thank you Tina and Alex for letting me be there with your families!
