Rachel and Lathan – 4/2/16 – Summit Manor
Rachel and Lathan’s Spring wedding was filled with romance and beauty. Lathan took chivalry to a whole new level when he surprised Rachel by singing a song in Latin during their ceremony. It was incredible to not only hear Lathan’s beautiful voice, but to see Rachel’s eyes light up and then tear up as he held his final note. Wow!
But let me back up a little bit….Rachel and Lathan met online. They had their first date and the Walker Sculpture Garden and hit it off immediately. They love science, education, and also are a bit silly. They are made for each other, and everyone was reminded of this on their wedding day. April can be cold in Minnesota, and this April morning was no different. As the wedding party and family met at Summit Manor to dress and put on the final touches, there were snow flurries. Rachel and Lathan had planned for this, and the charm of Summit Manor was the perfect place for their photos and reception. There’s something about the old wall paper and woodwork in this place that makes everything feel soft and romantic. Rachel’s tool ballgown and soft pink bouquet by Apple Blossom Flowers elevated this feeling to a whole new level. It was an early wedding followed by an afternoon of family, friends, punch, and lunch. It was simple and sweet, just like them, and I know these two will live a beautiful life together. Thanks Rachel and Lathan for letting me capture these special moments in your life!
