Longfellow Minneapolis Portrait Session / Lilliana + Isabelle

Spring has been extremely busy for Alana, Ryan, Lilliana.  In March, they welcomed the newest addition, Isabelle Margaret, into their family.  This sweet baby girl is so chill and has the same brown eyes as her dad.  Lilliana is thrilled to be a big sister, so Alana and Ryan had me come to their home in the Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis for a portrait session.

Alana and Ryan welcome me into their home, which they had just sold a few days ago.  They have lived their for years, but with their family growing, they wanted to make a change and find a new place to live.

It was a beautiful spring day, so we hopped outback to their quant yard.  The lilac’s were in full bloom and smelled so heavenly.  Lilliana picked up Isabelle and sat under the lilac bush.  Lilliana takes care of Isabelle whenever she gets a chance.  Alana told me she’s an incredible helper and always knows just what to do when Isabelle starts to fuss.

After a few photos of just the girls, Alana and Ryan swaddled Isabelle up in a soft blanket and let her relax on a blanket in the grass.  She has thick brown hair, rosy cheeks, and strong little hands.   It didn’t take long before she was tired and ready for a nap.  I mean, it was Sunday, who doesn’t love a mid morning nap?

I’m so honored to have met Isabelle and photographed her in the backyard of her first home.  Thank you Alana and Ryan for having me, you two are wonderful parents, and Lilliana- you are an amazing sister.
